Monika Maciejewska completed her PhD degree in Geography at Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has been part of GEMOTT since 2015. Her research focuses on healthy and sustainable daily mobility, with a special interest in analyzing gender differences in travel patterns, preferences, perceptions and accessibility to opportunities. During the doctoral studies she participated in R&D projects on mobility, taught undergrad and master courses and has been a speaker at congresses and conferences. She carried out research stays in the Department of Geography and GIS at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) and at the University of York (Canada), both executed thanks to mobility grants obtained in competitive calls. She is currently an adjunct professor and research assistant at the Department of Geography (UAB).
